Prusa i3 MK2 Assembly – Part 3

Continuing with assembly, here is my work installing the extruder, power supply, and heat bed.  Only the RAMbo installation remains! Unfortunately, I lost a file while transferring from my SD card, so there is around 15 minutes missing from the extruder assembly. PSU/Heat Bed assembly:

Prusa i3 MK2 Assembly – Part 2

Continuing on my Prusa build.  So far it has been easier than the Y-axis assembly, but the some the parts have been very tight-fitting, requiring the use of a hammer for the Z-axis assembly. Assembling the X-axis: Assembling the Z-axis:

Prusa i3 MK2 Assembly – Part 1

I received my Prusa i3 MK2 3D printer kit in and started assembly.  I have never used nor even seen a 3D printer in person, so I figure this will be at least a little challenging to get up and running.  So far, I have only completed the y-axis.  This step took about 3 hours… Read More »

Pebble is no More

Pebble has announced that it will be acquired by Fitbit, which is fine.  I mean good for them!  However, they will be completely shut down, halting all hardware production and support.  I have used a Pebble for about 1 1/2 years now and have (had) a Pebble Time 2 on order.  I know I can’t… Read More »

Google’s Pixel Event

I am a pretty avid user of Google’s products and this is the first time I have been pretty excited by one their announcements.  The Pixel XL looks awesome as well as Google Home.  Google VR looks pretty nice, but it isn’t anything that hasn’t been done — at least they are giving the headset… Read More »

VPS Hosts: Speed

I have recently moved my hosting provider from Vultr to HostUS.  While I have been happy with Vultr’s service generally, lately, they have been having issues with DDoS attacks on their data centers.  I have tried a few other hosting providers and did a quick Geekbench 4 test on each as well.  Here are the contenders and the plans I… Read More »

No Man’s Sky: All the Hate

I know there is a lot of hate going around about No Man’s Sky.  Here are my experiences (on PC).  I have since stopped playing and have around 50 hours in game. A lot of people experienced performance issues.  I did not and the game ran perfectly for me.  This was supposedly fixed in the… Read More »
