Avoid Dell Monitors!

Posted on May 15, 2023 by swyn

I have an AW3423DW, which is a decent monitor, and I have been generally happy with it, until the bright, stuck pixel that occurred a few months into ownership. I found out that Dell has a “bright” pixel policy. Awesome! Right? Nope! It seems their support personnel are not able to differentiate between dead (dark) pixels, which need 5-6 before they will fix the issue and a stuck (white) pixel, so they will refuse to fix under warranty. While the monitor has been ok, I would definitely avoid Dell monitors if at all possible, as if you do have an issue, getting your warranty honored at Dell is very difficult.
